Shane Lees the mixed martial arts fighter.
It is true. I Googled my name (Actually Yahoo) and I discovered that I am a mixed martial arts fighter. Don't believe me? Well I have the photos to prove it.

Shane Lees, an independent, warms up in the fight
cage before his middleweight match against David
Wahlers, 3rd ACR. Michael Heckman, Sentinel Staff.
Shane Lees, an independent, rains blows down on his middleweight championship match opponent, David Wahlers, 3rd ACR. Michael Heckman, Sentinel Staff.
Right, David Wahlers, 3rd ACR, smiles at Shane Lees, an independent fighter who defeated him to win the middleweight championship match during the III Corps and Fort Hood Army Combatives Tournament. Michael Heckman, Sentinel Staff.
So amongst my artistic talents I am also a cage fighter. I had no idea I could kick serious BOOTAY like that.
OKAY! Of course I am joking. You can find the website I discovered this at @ http://www.forthoodsentinel.com/story.php?id=1597 . What is really odd is that the cage fighter Shane Lees and me, we both spell our last name exactly the same. Usually I find a lot of people named Shane that spell their last name Lee's. So this discovery really intrigued me. If anybody knows how I can get in contact with cage fighter Shane Lees let me know. I'd like to draw him kicking BOOTAY!
Shane if you read this, please email me at Einherjarstudio@yahoo.com.
This may not be art related, but I thought that this was so odd that I had to post it here.

My Finest Moment
This is probably my finest moment in my professional art career. I was commissioned to make an illustration of a character in a book named Galen Altos, which was created by Mark Yoshimoto Nemcoff for his podio book Shadow Falls which can be heard @ http://shadowfalls.mevio.com
Well there is my illustration hanging right next to an autographed movie poster of Sigourney Weaver in Aliens.

I want to bring your attention to how the moon runs into the curvature of the ceiling of the church on the left side of the drawing? Well...I wish I could say that that was completely intentional. That was a happy accident. I had no idea that the moon would would do that. I just traced around a large metal bowl and drew the moon craters. When I stood back and looked at the drawing I noticed that the curvature and the white of the ceiling formed the other side of the moon. I was so thrilled that I had accidentally done that.

The person emerging from the water was a recently turned vampire that was left to die in the sun.
The author of the book did not like my last drawing so I scrapped my last idea and went with this one.

BLOOD WITNESS: Illustration, Steven Approaches
WELL YOU WIN SOME, AND YOU LOSE SOME. UNFORTUNATELY DAVE DID NOT LIKE THIS DRAWING SO IT WON'T BE ON HIS WEBSITE.This is another scene from a book that I was commissioned to illustrate titled Blood Witness http://bloodwitness.com . The person emerging from the water was a recently turned vampire that was left to die in the sun. I thought that the lillipads, the frog, and the bloated hand would be a nice addition to this scene.

The person emerging from the water in the illustration was a recently turned vampire that was left to die in the sun. He quickly went to the bottom of a pond to escape the sunlight. As he emerged from the pond he was extremely pissed off.
I added the water weeds and the leech on his forehead as extra effect.
